It's been cold recently

We were looking out the kitchen window this afternoon and the snow on the tops there took us by surprise.

Don't usually get that much snow up there

And this is in the early afternoon, after yet another week of crappy weather. Still, compared to Queenstown and Dunedin, we got off lightly, although you had to feel for the poor old rugbyheads down in Wellington last night.
